Amala Paul, who is currently busy with a slew of projects in hand, has opted out of Nivin Pauly‘s biopic Kayamkulam Kochunni which is being directed by ‘36 Vayadhinile’ fame Roshan Andrews. Billed as periodic action film produced by Gokulam Gopalan of ‘Sri Gokulam Movies,’ the shooting is progressing in Kerala at a rapid pace. Now, Priya Anand, who was last seen in Malayalam in Prithviraj’s critically and commercially acclaimed horror thriller Ezra, has been signed up by the team. The makers are spending a bomb on the film’s production values, and the film is planned to be released in Tamil, and Telugu too besides Malayalam.
“The entire unit comprising of Nivin Pauly, director Roshan Andrews and the producers were pleasantly surprised by this visit of Surya and Jyothika. They both spent some valuable time on the sets and appreciated the grand, skilful sets and the monumental efforts of director Roshan Andrews and the entire team,” the statement added.
Speaking about Suriya-Jyotika’s visit, director Roshan Andrews had said, “We were all indeed excited by the surprise visit of Surya and Jo. My association with Suriya and Jo started earlier and blossomed with ‘36 Vayadhinile’. We share a rapport that stands tall beyond the distance. I was overwhelmed by the presence of Surya and Jyotika in my sets. Suriya was very inquisitive and curious to know about ‘Kayamkulam Kochunni’. Coming to my set is their beautiful gesture of love and friendship. They are my family.”
